Cooking instructions should be readable. We aim for a clear type hierarchy, cream-page contrast, visible focus rings, and a skip link to the main content on every page that uses the shared layout.
What we try to do
- Keep body text at a readable size on a cream background (
#FBF6EC), not pale gray on white. - Label search fields, filters, and icon-only buttons.
- Let you cook through a recipe with a large-step cooking mode.
- Avoid trapping keyboard users in the mobile menu.
What this is not
We do not claim a formal WCAG audit or a certified “100% accessible” badge. Some recipe photos are decorative; some older inventory pages are still being cleaned up. If a control does not work with a keyboard, a screen reader, or zoom, that is a bug.
