    Heat oil in a large skillet or pot over medium-high. Add turkey, salt, and pepper. Cook 6–8 minutes, breaking it up, until no pink remains and edges start to brown.

    Stir in onion and carrot; cook 5 minutes until the onion softens. Add garlic; cook 30 seconds.

    Add tomato paste; cook 1 minute. Pour in crushed tomatoes, broth, oregano, basil, and red pepper flakes. Simmer uncovered 20–25 minutes until thickened and the carrot is tender. Taste and adjust salt.
