Whisk white miso, honey (or maple), soy sauce, rice vinegar, and grated ginger into a smooth glaze — no dry miso lumps. Pat the salmon fillets dry and coat the tops generously; a thick swipe is better than a thin wash.

Bake 10–12 minutes until the thickest part flakes with a fork and the glaze looks sticky and lightly browned at the edges. Broil 30–60 seconds if you want deeper caramel — watch closely so the sugar doesn't burn.
