Method

4 steps

  1. 1

Core and thinly slice 1 apple. Thinly slice 1 orange (leave the peel on). Hull and halve about 1 cup strawberries. Drop all the fruit into a large pitcher or punch bowl so it can perfume the juice.

  2. 2

Pour in 3 cups cold apple juice, 2 cups cold pineapple juice, and 2 cups cold prepared lemonade. Stir gently so you don't smash the fruit.

  3. 3

Chill at least 30 minutes if you can — the fruit softens the edges of the juices and the punch tastes brighter. In a rush, serve right away over ice.

  4. 4

Ladle into glasses with some of the fruit in each pour. Stir the pitcher before every scoop if the juices settle. You want a cold, fruity punch that tastes like apple-pineapple with a lemonade lift — not flat juice soda or a bowl of soggy fruit sitting in watery liquid.
