Rub the chicken with olive oil, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and brown sugar. Let it sit while the grill finishes heating.

Set the chicken on clean grates and cook about 6 minutes per side, turning when it releases easily and has clear grill marks.

Brush both sides with BBQ sauce after the first flip. Cook 2 minutes more per side, watching closely so the sauce does not burn.
