Step by step

Method

4 steps

  1. 1

Pour ½ cup cold orange juice or apple juice into the blender first. Add 1½ ripe bananas peeled, chunked, and frozen, 1 cup plain or vanilla yogurt, ¼ cup packed fresh spinach leaves, and 1–2 teaspoons honey if you want it sweeter.

  2. 2

Blend on high 45–60 seconds until completely smooth and bright green — no spinach flecks, no banana chunks. Scrape the sides once if needed.

  3. 3

If it's too thick to pour, add another splash of juice and blend 10 seconds more.

  4. 4

Pour into a glass and drink right away. You want a creamy, bright-green smoothie that tastes sweet-banana first, greens second — not grassy sludge or a thin juice with spinach bits.
