    Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker. Sprinkle the chili powder, garlic powder, and onion powder over both sides, then pour the salsa around and over the chicken.

    Cover and cook on high for about 2½ hours or low for about 5 hours. The chicken is ready when the thickest piece reaches 165°F and a fork slides in easily.

    Move the chicken to a plate and rest it for 5 minutes. Shred it with two forks, then return it to the salsa and cooking juices.

    Stir until every strand is coated. Taste and add a little lime juice, salt, or extra salsa if needed.

    Use the chicken in tacos, burritos, nachos, salads, or rice bowls. Cool leftovers promptly and keep them chilled.
