Pat the wings dry and place them in the slow cooker. Melt the butter, then whisk in the hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, honey, and garlic powder. Set aside ½ cup and pour the rest over the wings.

Cover and cook on high for 2 hours or low for 3–4 hours. The wings should be tender and at least 165°F, but stop before they begin falling apart.

Heat the oven to a low broil, about 450°F. Lift the wings onto a foil-lined sheet pan or a rack set over one, and brush them with the reserved sauce.

Broil for about 5 minutes, until the tops start to brown. Turn or brush again, then broil another 3–5 minutes until the skin looks crisp at the edges.

Serve with blue cheese dressing, celery, and carrot sticks. Spoon on extra sauce just before eating.
