    Stir the breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Add the mixture to the ground chicken with the egg and mix with your hands just until no dry crumbs remain.

    Shape the chicken into about 20 meatballs, using 1 to 1½ tablespoons for each. Keep them close in size so they finish together.

    Heat half the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Brown half the meatballs, turning every minute or so, for 5–7 minutes, until all sides have color and the centers reach 165°F. Move them to a plate and repeat with the remaining oil and meatballs.

    Warm the pasta sauce in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Add the cooked meatballs and let them sit in the sauce for 3–4 minutes, then serve over pasta.
