Method

4 steps

  1. 1

Add 1 cup frozen blueberries, ½ cup low-fat plain yogurt, and ½ cup nonfat vanilla yogurt (or more plain yogurt plus 1 teaspoon honey) to a blender. Add 1–2 teaspoons honey if you want it sweeter.

  2. 2

Blend on high 30–60 seconds until thick and smooth. Scrape the sides once — frozen blueberries like to cling. The color should be even purple-blue with no pale yogurt streaks.

  3. 3

If it's too stiff to pour, add a splash of cold milk or water and blend again until it moves.

  4. 4

Pour into a glass (or two small ones) and serve right away. You want a thick, blueberry-packed smoothie that tastes creamy and lightly sweet — not a thin juice or a yogurt soup with whole berries floating in it.
