Plan components, then meals

Choose two recipes that share ingredients and one flexible lunch. You might cook chicken for dinner and reserve a separate portion for salad, or roast extra sweet potato for a grain bowl. Add meals to the planner so you can see the week before shopping.

Separate wet from crisp

Store dressing away from greens, crunchy toppings away from soup, and noodles away from broth. Let roasted vegetables cool before sealing them. Pack each component in a clean container and combine only the portion you are about to eat.

Treat seven days as a plan, not a storage promise

Most cooked leftovers belong in the refrigerator for only 3–4 days. Freeze later-week portions promptly, or plan a second cooking session. Keep the refrigerator at 40°F or below and reheat leftovers to 165°F.

Leave space for real life

Do not fill every slot just because it is there. Plan one leftovers meal and keep a quick pantry dinner available. The planner saves on your device, so you can change the week as your schedule changes.
